VTCT Level 3 Award in Spa Treatments
This course has been designed for qualified therapists who are looking to learn the theory of, and practical treatments surrounding SPA in order to set them apart from the competition within the industry. This course will cover not only SPA Treatments but also the knowledge of maintaining and monitoring of a SPA environment.
A qualification in SPA is essential if you want to go on and work in any type of SPA environment, and is an excellent qualification to have. You can study this SPA course as a separate Level 3 module, or it is included as standard in our full Level 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma.
LSBM have a fully equipped on-site SPA which includes relaxation beds, steam room, sauna, hydro-bath, Vichy shower and scrub tables to provide you with the very best working environment to master the art of these treatments. Once you have gained full competency with these treatments you will provide them to paying clients in the LSBM Salon & Spa, overseen by qualified lecturers and our professional salon team.
Only a 25% Deposit is required to secure your place on this course if the course start date is more than 1 calendar month away. International students will need to pay an International student fee. ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY
For the first 6 weeks of the course, you will study Anatomy & Physiology on Friday's. For the first 5 Friday's this is a home study programme where printer access is required. You will be given an online pack which will contain all the information that needs to be digested including videos. Week 6 will be where you sit two Anatomy and Physiology exams in school and submit your completed portfolio, this day will be from 10am - 2pm. You will not be required to attend the school on Friday's after you have completed the Anatomy & Physiology aspect of the course.

Commercial salon Experience
in the LSBM Salon & Spa
Students will also participate in our student salon* (LSBM Salon & Spa) once they have built up a certain level of competency with treatments. Our salon is run by professional therapists and is open throughout the year, therefore we have a large client base for both our professional therapists and our student therapists.
* Although the ‘normal’ study hours are 10am–5pm, you will also be required to practice your treatments in our student salon from week 4 on a Monday and Tuesday. The salon hours for these days will be 11am - 7pm.
Students will be required to submit a portfolio of evidence upon course completion, all practical assessments will be undertaken in the LSBM Salon & Spa.
Upon completion of the course, students will receive the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Award in Spa Treatments
- Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology Diploma
- The minimum age for entry for this course is 18 years – no exceptions
- Level 3 Body Massage qualification is a prerequisite to this course
- An excellent level of English is required, you must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently
