On the 5 week fashion and media make up artistry element of the course, you will have a special effects make up workshop led by a freelance guest tutor.
TV and Media makeup artist - If you’re aiming to be the person behind the beautiful looks that grace the silver screen then you should study our MASA Pro Make-Up Artistry & Hair Certificate course.
On this course, you will learn about the basic principles of makeup artistry for two weeks which includes makeup hygiene, client consultation and psychology, makeup kit and tools, skin science and consultation and colour theory.
What is great about this course is that there is a 1 week session in hair styling included which will give you the upper hand to have more professional skills which will prepare you for working on shoots by being able to style hair and not just be able to do makeup.
We also offer the Complete Pro Makeup Designer Diploma with Advanced Development which runs for 12 weeks which is considered to be the ultimate qualification in professional make up design and includes 3 exciting photoshoots where you will get to work with models and have your own photographed to put your work in a portfolio to show future employees after your time with us.
Beauty retail makeup artist - This role involves bringing customers’ requests to life and assist customers who may be looking to replace their foundation, be a complete makeup newbie or need help preparing for a special occasion.
In this profession, it’s a must that you have to be a people person as the role includes a lot of interaction with customers and will require you to have sales skills to get customers to buy products from the store. It also requires you to be time conscious and organised as you may be working at busy periods and need to meet sales targets.
Bridal makeup artist - If you are a lover of romance, this one's for you. Working to help brides feel like a princess on their special day is an incredibly rewarding occupation where you are part of iconic moments in their and the bridal party’s life.
Working as a makeup artist at weddings will have you needing to work closely with the bride and delivering your creative input to put together a look that individually and cohesively works for each member of the bridal party and the bride.
Theatre makeup artist - Be part of incredible stage productions that bring live action to the West End stages. In this role, you will get to create beautiful works of art that puts a smile on people’s faces.
Working on projects as a theatre makeup artist will often include working with special effects makeup and creating bold makeup looks that are able to be seen by all members of the audience under the stage lights.
