At LSBM, we have multiple students graduating every year. Each of them chooses a path that’s most suited to them. Some choose to work in clinics and salons, and some open their own businesses. It is extremely nice to hear that choosing to work in Beauty and Aesthetics allows them to do what they love and gives them a great work-life balance.
We are always interested to speak to our graduates and learn what they decide to do after graduation.
We are excited to share a story about Natalia, who, after moving to the UK from Ukraine, successfully graduated from Level 2&3 Combined Facials and Skincare at LSBM, and then decided to carry on with her studies, choosing to study Level 4 Laser & IPL Treatments with us.
She graduated this year, holding VTCT Level 2 Facial Massage & Skincare, VTCT Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy, VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology, VTCT Level 4 Laser, IPL and Skin Rejuvenation qualifications under her belt.
We decided to ask her more questions about her journey and where she sees herself in the future.
I really love cosmetology – it’s my passion. I also wanted to know how our bodies and muscles work in more detail, that’s why I decided to study these courses.
My school is the best of the best. After reading a lot about it, I had no doubts about choosing LSBM.
I liked that the school was very supportive, everything was very accessible, you have a real team there:
My teacher Belgin (Level 2&3 Combined Facials and Skincare) provided so much support, she explained everything so clearly, and I turned to her more than once, if I didn’t understand something, she would stay to work with me after class.
I also completed the course with the teacher Ellie (Level 4 Laser & IPL Treatments) – she is one of the best teachers. She was very supportive.
Moreover, I felt the absolute support from the entire LSBM team. They’re like a family that helps you so much and gives you the knowledge to become the ultimate professional in your field. The administrator Sana was also very supportive and organised.
I chose this path a long time ago. I am from Ukraine, Kiev where I had my own salon – Le Paradise Group, which was a very successful business. We worked with hardware cosmetology (which implies a set of physiotherapeutic methods, which is used in modern cosmetology). Hence, in London, I simply continued my passion for cosmetology. What I love the most is working with problematic skin, as I can see direct results on my clients.
Now I work as a self-employed professional. I keep developing in this area to become even better.
The variety of work. I love that every day presents me with different challenges. This means that I have an opportunity to gain an understanding of the industry and develop my problem-solving and organizational skills.
Also in my job, I get to see the direct results of my efforts, which is incredibly rewarding. Witnessing the positive impact of my work on clients or customers is fulfilling. More importantly, I appreciate the work-life balance that my job offers. It allows me to pursue my passions outside of work and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I wouldn’t say there are any difficulties, apart from when the client wants a very quick result when in cosmetology, sometimes, more time and regularity are needed.
My clients mostly come by recommendations, but I also see social networks working really well.
I have a dream of opening a beauty studio where every woman will find the right treatment for herself, whether that would be a massage or hardware cosmetology treatment. I want to provide the best service so all my clients are happy with the result because a woman who takes care of herself and goes to a cosmetologist becomes more confident in herself.
Thank you Natalia for sharing your story, we wish you all the best in the future and we can’t wait to see you making your dreams come true!
