Course description
Our most comprehensive beauty therapy course combines Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy training in just one streamlined program.
The combined Level 2 and 3 course is great for those who want to fast-track their beauty training whilst completing both courses to the highest standard and finish with an accredited and globally recognised qualification.
The course runs over 23 weeks as a part-time option, Monday to Wednesday.
The VTCT Level 2 and 3 Combined Beauty Therapy is a fast-track course that will allow students to start practising as fully qualified beauty therapists in a shorter time.
Throughout the course, students will gain the necessary practical skills and theoretical understanding to provide beauty therapy treatments professionally.
All the units on the course are essential to work in the beauty industry.
Facials and Skincare:
- Skin Analysis
- Cleansing, balancing, toning & moisturising
- Steaming, Extraction and Full Facial Massage
- Selecting, mixing and applying tailor-made face masques
- The theory in this module involves the anatomy & physiology of the upper torso, including the muscles, bones, blood and nerve supply
- Theory of the skin.
Waxing:
- Two different methods of hair removal: hot beeswax and cream strip wax
- Techniques for waxing all areas of the face and body
- Theory work on hair growth and patterns
- Post-treatment care techniques
- Consultation and selling skills.
Lash & Brow Treatments:
- Patch test techniques
- Eyelash and eyebrow tinting
- Eyelash perming techniques
- Eyebrow shaping.
Manicure & Pedicure:
- Maintenance and care techniques for the nails, the skin of the hands and feet
- The application of colour to the nails on both hands and feet
- French manicure and pedicure techniques
- Paraffin wax and warm oil treatments
- The theory of this unit includes an in-depth study of the structure of the nail as well as the anatomy and physiology of the rest of the lower leg and forearms.
Body Massage:
We have structured this module to bring you a wealth of valuable massage techniques to set you at the cutting edge going into the industry. You will cover the following methods;
- Swedish Body Massage
- Indian Head Massage.
Facial Electrotherapy:
This module will enable you to gain the knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of popular electrical and mechanical treatments for the face;
- Facial Faradic
- Vacuum Suction/Mechanical Lymphatic Drainage
- Micro-current/Non-Surgical Lift
- Facial Galvanic Treatments
- High-Frequency Facials
- Microdermabrasion.
Body Electrotherapy:
This module will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of popular electrical and mechanical treatments for the body;
- G5 Massage
- Faradic/Slender-tone
- Vacuum Suction/Mechanical Lymphatic Drainage
- Micro-current/Non-Surgical Lift.
General Competencies:
- Contraindications to all treatments
- Client consultation & selling techniques
- Classroom salon experience and management duties.
To successfully complete the course, students will need to complete theory and practical assessments, including a portfolio of treatments understanding that will need to be handed in 6 weeks after completing the course.
Once all assessments have been passed, you will receive:
- VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy Studies Diploma
- VTCT Level 3 Beauty Therapy Studies Diploma
- LSBM Post Graduate Salon Experience certificate
- Students must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in this course – there are no exceptions to this requirement.
- The course is designed to take learners from beginners to experts, so no previous experience is required.
- An excellent level of English (reading, writing and speaking) is required, and students may have to complete an entry interview to gain access to the course.
- International students must gain a ‘Standard Visitor Visa’ and pay this course’s relevant International Student Fee.

Students on the course are expected to complete practical training, which their tutors will observe and provide feedback on for improvement.
The training will be completed in a professional environment within our state-of-the-art classrooms. Students will begin the training on fellow students before progressing on to live models and clients, which will help perfect their professional skills.
As a fully qualified beauty therapist, the world is your oyster, especially with a globally recognised certificate from a leading beauty school.
Learners who complete this course can work in commercial beauty salons and spas or as brand ambassadors in retail department stores. Many students have also used this qualification to begin their self-employed beauty careers. Insurance providers and local councils recognise the qualification.
Students can also use this course to progress on to advanced aesthetic training courses such as the Level 4 Laser and IPL or Level 4 combined Chemical Peel and Microneedling course.
The course price for our Level 2 and 3 combined Beauty Therapy training is £5,495.
This price includes the course fee, training and examination fees (£5,355), textbook (£40), tunic (£25), and beauty kit (£75).

Only a 25% Deposit is required to secure your place on this course if the course start date is more than 1 calendar month away.
