Students can also participate in our student salon* (LSBM Beauty Salon) once they have completed their qualifications. This is optional, but we highly recommend all students staying on to gain further experience.
The LSBM Beauty salon is open throughout the school year, we have a large client base for our student therapists. Giving newly qualified therapists the chance to work on paying clients in a commercial setting, this helps to boost the students confidence and competence in a real-life salon environment. *The salon opening times are Monday to Fridays 10am-6pm.
Students completing this additional experience will receive an LSBM Post Graduate Salon certificate, which is ideal for newly qualified therapists, giving them the edge when applying for jobs.
SATURDAY STUDENTS
Please note that Students studying this course on a Saturday will have all bank holiday weekends off, this will include the following Saturdays: 16th April 2022, 30th April 2022, 4th June 2022. The school also closes for 2 weeks in August and December for our Summer and Christmas Break, during this time no classes will run.
Upon completion of the course, you will be required to submit a portfolio, all practical assessments will be achieved in the classroom. You will receive the three following qualifications:

From the 1st October 2020, completing a Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention for Beauty Therapy and Nail Services is a prerequisite course that must be completed to carry out any of our VTCT beauty courses.

Here we share with you all you need to know about the VTCT Level 3 beauty therapy course offered here at LSBM, including details of the qualifications and practical experience you can achieve, and what happens once you have achieved your Level 3 diploma in beauty therapy, including employment prospects and continuing support from LSBM.
The Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is an intermediate course designed to build on your knowledge gained from Level 2 and help you increase your employment prospects.
Core modules include body massage, facial and body electrotherapy, microdermabrasion and Indian head massage.
As the VTCT Level 3 beauty therapy course runs on Saturdays as well as part time Mondays and Tuesdays, it is ideal if you currently have other commitments.

Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT) is a specialist awarding and assessment organisation. It provides vocational and technical qualifications across a variety of service sectors.
The VTCT level 3 beauty therapy course is structured to deliver a wealth of valuable techniques that will give you the edge as you enter the beauty therapy industry.
You will cover the likes of:
To enter onto the Level 3 beauty therapy course, you will need a full Level 2 Beauty Therapy Diploma, or a completed Level 2 Facials module.
You will also require the VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Beauty Therapy and Nail Services. If you do not already hold this then you will be asked to add it at the checkout when booking your course.
The minimum age is 18 years without exception, and you must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently. International students who need a visa will not unfortunately be eligible for this course.
Once you have completed your Level 3 beauty course and undertaken all the necessary practical classroom assessments, you will need to submit a portfolio. Once that has been assessed and you are deemed as passed, you will be awarded the VTCT Level 3 Beauty Therapy Studies Diploma.
It is important that you develop valuable communication and service skills to help you consult with clients.
During your Level 3 beauty therapy course, you will work on other students, as well as working on paying clients in our own professional LSBM beauty salon once you have reached the required level of competency for the various treatments. The salon is open year-round and run by experienced, professional therapists. We have a vast client base for both our professional therapists and our student therapists to work with.
Whilst regular study hours are 10am–5pm for the part time course, you will also be required to practice your treatments in our salon on a regular basis. Salon hours are 10am–6pm. If you are studying on Saturdays only then you will be able to arrange salon experience once you have completed the course.
