This qualification aligns with national occupational standards for beauty therapy, equipping learners to confidently and effectively work as professional skin peeling practitioners. To achieve the qualification, students must complete all mandatory units, which include:
- Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Provide skin peeling treatments
Learners will be trained in the correct skin peeling application process – understanding the risks of handling chemical peels, the science behind the chemicals and how the procedures work. You will learn to work with the following chemicals:
- Glycolic acid
- Salicylic Acid
- Kojic acid and more.
Additionally, students will gain advanced aesthetic knowledge covering:
- Comprehensive client consultations and customised treatment planning
- Effective post-treatment care and advice
- SPF and UVA protection for optimal skin health
- Preventing infections and ensuring treatment safety
Throughout the course, learners will deepen their understanding of anatomy, physiology, and health and safety related to Level 4 non-medical aesthetic therapies. They will also build the practical skills needed to analyse clients, tailor treatments, and deliver professional skin peeling services with confidence.
To successfully achieve the VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Skin Peeling, students must complete all mandatory units, assignments, clinical case studies, and pass external theory and practical examinations. This ensures that graduates leave fully prepared to excel in the aesthetics industry.
- Students must hold relevant accredited Levels 2 and 3 beauty or facial qualifications to enrol on the course.
- Alternatively, interested participants should have a relevant medical qualification.
- An excellent command of English is required, you must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently to undertake this course.

Case studies are required for all advanced aesthetic courses to ensure that you are practising different treatments on various models. Your case study allows your tutor to provide feedback and check the quality of your work before you start working professionally on clients.
Case studies are also helpful for students to showcase their work to interested clients and market their business on their social media pages.
Our Level 4 Chemical Skin Peeling training course combines online and in-person training to fast-track our students’ completion and allow them to fit the training into their existing schedule.
Students will complete their practical training in person under the supervision of our tutors at our school classroom on models and classmates. Theory training will be completed online, and students will have ongoing access to course materials.
As this is an accredited and OFQUAL-recognised qualification, students can immediately start offering these treatments to their clients and get insurance to protect themselves once they have completed all their assessments and received their qualifications.

Only a 25% Deposit is required to secure your place on this course if the course start date is more than 1 calendar month away.
