The London School of Beauty & Make-up were asked, as industry experts, to help film a segment for Phillip Schofield’s TV programme ‘How To Spend It Well At Christmas’. If you didn’t manage to catch the programme it was aired early December 2017 at 7pm, and features Phillip with a whole host of other Celebrities who tested out the most wanted Christmas presents for Xmas 2017. We were included in the candle testing segment, where one of our tutors, Jane, and her students treated clients to various different massages in our very own in-house School Salon ‘LSBM Salon & Spa’. You may think that it looks like a professional salon from the video, and you’re right. All of our Beauty students get to have a commercial salon experience working on real paying clients once they have built up a certain level of competency with their treatments.
For this shoot, even though it was only a few minutes long in the aired show, it actually took all day to film! A different candle was placed in each treatment room, and the clients would go from room to room to smell the candles. A rate card was given after each treatment for the clients to rate the candles.
We are extremely proud of our students and team here, and think the footage looks great! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet Phillip ourselves, but we want to thank him for having us be part of such a great TV show.
