Our graduate, Nur, completed her studies in 2019, achieving Level 2 & 3 qualifications along with a Level 4 certification in Laser & IPL Treatments. Specialising in laser treatments, she has since dedicated her career to the Aesthetics industry.
Nur’s expertise focuses on various laser applications such as skin pigmentation, skin tightening, and radio frequency treatments. She currently thrives as a self-employed specialist at an Aesthetics clinic located in Oxford Circus.
We’ve asked her to share some insights into the industry and talk about her experience.
There are so many laser machines in the market. Be it for hair removal, pigmentation, skin resurfacing, tightening and so on. I’m very interested in working with various machines and trying their different settings. It’s so fascinating to see what different results they can offer and how they can improve skin condition and texture. It gives me so much joy to share this with my clients and see them satisfied with the results.
The most popular treatments among my clients are:
Fotona 4D – a groundbreaking non-surgical face-lifting procedure resulting in a rejuvenated, natural-looking appearance
Hydrafacial and PicoSure – it delivers ultra-short pulses of energy in picoseconds (trillionths of a second), which helps break down the targeted pigment or stimulate collagen production without causing significant damage to the surrounding skin
Sofwave – non-invasive skin tightening treatment that uses ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity
M22 IPL – effective in treating acne by targeting the bacteria responsible for acne breakouts and reducing inflammation
My personal would be Hydrafacial and M22. This combination is excellent for skin rejuvenation and acne skin. How does it work? The skin is deeply cleansed with hydrafacial which is then followed by M22 a few days later. It treats your skin with different wavelengths. The results have been incredible for my clients!
I also love Sofwave and Fotona 4D – these treatments are perfect for clients who are not yet ready for injectibles.
Flexibility played a vital role in my decision to become self-employed. Working three days a week allows me to spend more time at home as a mother of a two-year-old. Operating across two different clinics in central London provides the freedom to diversify my professional experiences. Overall, the career offers an excellent work-life balance.
I highly encourage it! The Aesthetics industry is rapidly expanding, presenting numerous opportunities that continue to grow with the introduction of new machines. Studying laser treatments is not only rewarding but also fun.
My experience at LSBM was exceptional. Trainer Ellie, who guided us and shared her extensive experiences, was incredibly detailed. The opportunity to practice treatments before graduation was also invaluable.
I’m hoping to increase my client base even more, and offer private aesthetic services at a good price!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and insights! LSBM is so proud of what Nur has achieved and we know she’ll go so far with her ambition and determination!
